We spent one night here between flights. It’s close to the airport although make allowances for traffic.
I think there are a few different hotels operating out of this building – we booked with Zen Rooms La Paz. Our room was fine – small but clean and the bathroom had a good shower. The air con was very loud and the room was directly facing a busy road from the first floor so was a bit noisy but fine other than this and we slept well anyway.
The pool and jacuzzi area is on the seventh floor and the lift isn’t working – bit of a trek. It’s fine in the day time but not particularly well lit at night. There are toilets and changing facilities. The jacuzzi didn’t work during our visit which was a shame, and the water in the pool was icy cold!
The whole place is under construction or having a revamp, and there’s quite a bit of noise from that during the weekdays – but it won’t affect you if you’re just using the place as a crash pad and didn’t bother us.
Breakfast was included and was very tasty. The restaurant downstairs, Big Jap, is actually quite good and we had a nice chicken adobo there.
The hotel was average but the staff were fantastic. They helped us book taxis and recommended things to do. They were all so helpful and friendly, saying hello and good morning when you came downstairs and bidding you goodnight in the evening. The restaurant staff were also absolutely lovely.
